Albania Today 1973
Albania Today was a political and informative review produced bi-monthly from the first issue that appeared in November/December at the end of 1971 until everything hit the fan in 1990.
For 20 years it was one way to keep up with the political developments within the country, including its relationship with The People’s Republic of China.
Although there is an emphasis on political statements and speeches there are also insights into the changes, developments and ideas existing within Albanian society during the 1970s and 1980s.
NB. Number 1, 2 and 5 were scanned in relatively unfavourable of circumstances. This means, amongst other things, that sometimes the top of the pages have been cut off. This is a nuisance but hopefully the majority of the text is legible and it shouldn’t detract from the ideas in the content. It also has meant that the files are very large. This is unfortunate but until I can get access to the magazines myself and able to scan them in better circumstances at least this makes them available to those with an interest in an important period in revolutionary socialist history.
(If anyone has those issues and can scan them, or lend them to me so that I can scan them, it would be very much appreciated – in 1973 1, 2, and 5.)
Thanks to the comrades at bannedthought for providing better copies of issues Nos. 4 and 6.

I must apologise for the quality of the scanning for the next issue of 1973 – it’s truly terrible, and I wasn’t aware of that at the time of scanning. However bad the result it is possible to read the majority of the text. I have decided to include it until I can get access to another copy which, hopefully, will be more legible.
Another ‘problem’ is that this particular issue had more pages than normal and so exceeded the limit for a single file on WordPress – don’t know why the limit is so low – therefore it is presented here in two parts.
