More on Albania ….

The intention is to develop this page (and the others associated with it) as an archive of documents, speeches, magazines and general articles that were produced in (and about) Albania during its attempts at socialist construction.

Many of these would have been reasonably accessible for those on the look-out from the 1960s through to the 1980s – at that time there were a number of outlets throughout the UK that made radical material available to those with an interest in revolutionary and general left-wing political movements.

That situation doesn’t exist at the present, due to a number of reasons that are too extensive to go into here.

However, ‘new’ technology provides opportunities to disseminate this material to an audience that would have been impossible during the ‘revolutionary’ years of the 60s and 70s.

Those documents to which I have access are quite extensive, but not all-encompassing. If anyone has material they think could find a home on this blog I would be more than willing to consider posting it.

At the same time if there are particular documents etc., that someone would like to see made publicly available feel free to get in touch and if it is accessible I will do my best to fill the gap, perhaps changing my own priorities.

These documents are being reproduced principally to be studied so that we might be able to work out what mistakes were made, always bearing in mind the legacy of Marxism-Leninism and the necessity of the dictatorship of the proletariat.

This is an ongoing project and if something is not here today then it might well be tomorrow!
